Are you a yoga teacher who is ready to grow your community and keep your students coming back each and every week?

Do you want to infuse each class with positivity, guide your students into making better decisions all day long and support them on and off the mat?

Are you looking for a way to bring something new to your students that will inspire them and help them maximize their time?

You're in the right place!

I'm Marda, lifelong fitness and sports enthusiast, I learned that as my body got older it needed more in order to be able to do all the fun sports and activities I love, and I knew my yoga clients were feeling the same way. This inspired me to create and refine a class that is very much yoga but with the addition of weights and without joint pounding jumping. From this inspiration, Alignment Yoga Sculpt (AYS) was born. This low-impact, high-intensity practice is a great platform to bring your own unique style and gifts into this practice and bring your beloved students with you to the experience.

Let Me Introduce:

Alignment Yoga Sculpt Teacher Training

AYS is an 18-hour Online teacher training for yoga instructors and fitness professionals to teach a yoga format that will improve students' overall physical and mental fitness using low-impact, high-intensity yoga with weights in a safe, highly effective format curated over the past ten years.

Why should you learn to teach AYS?

  • AYS uses low-impact, high-intensity moves through combination exercises that are safe on your joints and sustainable practice.
  • This class uses a proven nine-section format that allows teachers to deliver creative, challenging, safe, fresh classes each and every week.
  • AYS will allow you to grow your community and fill your classes with old and new students.

Who is this course for?

  • This course is for 200-hour Registered Yoga Teachers, Group fitness professionals, Pilates Instructors, Barre Instructors, and Personal Trainers.
  • AYS is a great way for fitness professionals to teach a yoga format that does not require 200-hour teacher training.
  • If you are an RYT 200, AYS will teach you how mindfully adding hand weights can enhance your personal fitness, heal imbalances and injuries in the body and help your yoga students reach new fitness goals.
  • AYS is a yoga format that will improve your physical and mental fitness in a safe, highly effective format that is sustainable through every fitness level. Attention to joint safety, stability, and alignment.
  • This class is a bridge between a weight training fitness class and Vinyasa yoga. AYS brings these two different groups together; the dedicated yogis and the group exercise students. Combining the two formats in a mindful, alignment-based manner makes this class a great way for yogis to build strength and learn how to effectively add weights to their weekly fitness regime and a way for group exercise class students to add yoga into their week.

Add the AYS format to your teaching repertoire and get yourself and your students in the best shape of their lives.

Testimonials on the AYS format:

"Marda challenges the body and mind"

"I have been doing yoga and yoga sculpt with Marda for close to a decade and there is a reason I keep coming back for the Namaste. Her power flow is designed to challenge the body and mind. She reminds yogis to be present, encourages errors and refocus, and above all else, smiles and laughs because working out should be fun. "

-Brooke Clements (Student of AYS)

"Marda is the definition of what yoga should be! She teaches from the heart with abundant kindness, athleticism, knowledge, strength, and relaxation. I find her classes to be athletic yet restorative.... no matter how I’m feeling I always get what I need and feel relaxed and energized after! She teaches at all levels from beginner to expert and always provides the perfect challenge. The variety and intelligence she puts into creating her beautiful flow classes show her passion and care for all of her students. Whether it’s a gentle flow class or a yoga sculpt you will not be disappointed. Marda is true yoga perfection! As a fitness professional myself I have taken many classes but none compare to Marda yoga!!!! I have loved her in the studio and now cannot get enough of her online videos!"

"AYS Builds body strength and improves balance and coordination"

I love Marda’s yoga classes. I live in Ohio so I watch them on YouTube. I especially love the Alignment Yoga Sculpt class. Marda’s spoken cues and visual demonstrations are first-class. I love how the class builds my body strength, engages muscles evenly, and helps with balance and coordination. I suffer from elbow pain and after just one class my pain has eased. My husband has back problems and it has helped his lower back, hip, and knee pain.

“AYS teacher training offers such a great opportunity to explore and experience this exciting new dimension of yoga. Marda brings incredible knowledge and enthusiasm to every class and takes the time to make sure everyone feels confident in their understanding of the information. The learning materials are clear and well-structured and provide a treasure trove of resources to help new teachers build sequences, strengthen alignment cues or simply expand their learning. Most importantly, Marda creates a really fun and inviting space to learn, and she encourages each person to find and nurture their own unique teaching style and voice. Who am I

My name is Marda Zechiel.  I have been practicing yoga for 20 years and teaching for 16.

Five years ago, I was in an ATV accident, and I severely crushed my right hand. After about six months (and multiple surgeries) of not being able to use my right arm, it had severely atrophied; My shoulder was rounded forward and I had limited function in my fingers. After one of my last surgeries and a lot of physical therapy, I had my hand surgeon (Dr. Gordon) put a metal plate in what was left of my ring finger to straighten it out. I could now flatten out my hand and do poses like down dog and handstand.

So - you see where my priorities lie. I used my yoga sculpt practice and what I learned in my physical therapy sessions to get my strength and balance back. I used my breath and visualization practices in yoga to calm myself down and wrap my head around my new reality. I have been improving ever since. I will probably never be able to play tennis again (I played in college) but I did start to play golf again, and I am working on my handstand! Stay tuned.

I have been a dedicated yoga teacher for 13 years, and I have been developing and teaching AYS live teacher training for the past 7 years.  I am currently an E-RYT 200, RYT 500, and YACEP.
